This is a Documentary I produced with CAS (Cole, Anna, Sacha) for Warren Tech, about Martin Luther King’s influence on America. It was created for a high school National History Day competition, winning 1st at regionals for best high school group documentary. Also took 1st at the DAFFY high school film awards, for best documentary. Working on this project, I learned so much more than I ever knew about King from school text books. I contacted 3 great community leaders in Denver for interviews.
Vern L. Howard, Chairman of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday Commision. Project Manager for the Martin Luther King Monument.
Rev. James D. Peters Jr. Pastor of New Hope Baptist Church. Walked with King during the Civil Rights Movement.
Silke Hansen, Retired from Community Relations Services, Justice Department. Was very involved with the Civil Rights Movement.

This is a video I created with my favorite group at Warren Tech, we call CAS Productions (Cole, Anna, Sacha). The project assigned to us by Mr. White, was to create an engaging video for a middle school audience. Promoting Digital Video, and the TV/Video class at Warren Tech. We had a lot of fun with this one, trying to make it cool enough to hold that hyper middle schooler’s attention.

On a field trip to the Forney Museum with all our camera equipment. Mr. White assigned the project, to create a promotional video for the museum. We had two days to work on it, one day, with four hours to shoot and the next to edit. I worked in a group with Tori, and Ty. With great planning and team work, we used every second of our time wisely. You might recognize my voice in the voice over.

I wrote a news script exagerating our current entertainment news, in my creative writing class. Then I brought the story to Warren Tech, shot me and a friend cole, acting it out in front of the green screen. It was one of my first times editing HD, how much more patience it requires in front of the computer. Doritos Nightly News was one of my more sarcastic, and fun videos. Enjoy!
